Elton John Signs Deal With Best Buy

If you’re looking for Elton John’s upcoming DVD box set, you’ll only be able to find it at Best Buy. In a movie that other retailers frown upon, Best Buy will be the only carrier of John’s “Dream Ticket — Four Destinations: Four DVDs.”
Best Buy has had deals like this in the past with such artists as The Rolling Stones. The deal lead to HMV stores discounting their Stones merchandise, a move they later switched back.
The four-disc set hits stores November 9. It will feature 10 hours of concerts, interviews, and other previously unreleased footage.
Best Buy will be the exclusive retailer for these DVDs at least through the holidays.
