Although she may still be in hospital in New York on Friday, Courtney Love will be sentenced in Los Angeles for being under the influence of cocaine.
Love is in a private New York hospital where she is being treated for an illness unknown to the public. Abortion and a drug overdose have been rumoured to be the reason, but her lawyer, Michael Rosenstein, hasn’t confirmed the cause.
On Friday, Rosenstein will be present in the court, where Love is expected to be sentenced to a drug treatment program. He said Love will return to the court when she is better.
Last Friday, Love was seen screaming and in pain coming out of her New York apartment on a stretcher. Hours earlier in Los Angeles, a judge issued an arrest warrant for her absence at a hearing.
