Spider-Man Beats Anchorman at Box Office
Dubbed the new “King of Comedy,” Will Ferrell and his latest flick, Anchorman, could not beat Spider-Man 2 at the box office over the weekend.
Spider-Man 2 brought in another $46 million, to raise its two-week total to $257.3 million.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy had a respectable debut with $28 million in box office sales in its first week. The same can’t be said about King Arthur, which opened with a disappointing $15.2 million.
That was still far better than the lacklustre Sleepover, which brought in Olsen-twin-like numbers with $4.2 million.
Fahrenheit 9/11 continued its record breaking numbers, earning another $11 million.
