Rapper and actor DMX was arrested on charges that he and another man tried to steal a car in a parking lot at JFK Airport, authorities told the Associated Press.

Police say officers witnessed DMX and Jackie Hudgins in a dispute with another man whose car they allegedly tried to steal. They were both arrested Thursday night and a preliminary investigation revealed that DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, may have identified himself as a federal agent, according to Port Authority police spokesman Tony Ciavolella.

They face charges of attempted robbery, criminal impersonation and criminal mischief.
