A cameraman got a little too close for comfort to pop star Britney Spears this weekend when he was hit by a car carrying Spears and her little sister, Jamie Lynn, being driven by their mother, Lynne. (Oops!)

The superstar Spears girls had just bought two puppies at a Santa Monica, Calif. pet store when the accident occurred in the store’s parking lot.

Reports said Britney appeared to be crying and possibly suffered a panic attack after the accident as paramedics arrived on the scene.

The photographer, presumably part of the paparazzi who hound Spears day and night, suffered only minor injuries.

In the video clip of the accident’s aftermath, the young photographer, identified by Extra as Colin Reavley, is alert and lying on the pavement.

A spokesman for Britney said there was no ticket issued for her mother after the incident.
