Mase, Bad Boy alum, king of glitter 3-piece suits and former Puffy tag team partner is slated to release a new album as soon as this August. MTV.com reports that the former rapper, former minister, and now reinvented rap artist’s new LP will be called (for obvious reasons), “Welcome Back.”

Not to be outdone by rumors of his return, Mase hit the airwaves, most notably on New York’s Hot 97 to confirm the speculation. Fellow Bad Boy members Loon and Carl Thomas were merely a few that were elated to hear that “Harlem World” was to be reborn once again, this time with a new flavor and new attitude. Loon told MTV.com that, “That’s my man. We worked together on the Harlem World project, we go back, we’re both Harlemites. I’m honored to see him back. It adds more energy, he’s a different charismatic type of artist. A lot of rappers have been trying to mimic his style, but dude is back to take his piece.”

Due to his newfound spirituality and religious beliefs, Mase added that “Welcome Back” won’t have too many guest appearances, and there won’t be any songs degrading women or even talking about “sexual acts.” His time away from music has given him clarity.

The following months will feature a wave of new albums from Bad Boy artists including Loon, Rio Winans, Carl Thomas, as well as some familiar faces in Heavy D and New Edition.
