Friends? Star Cox Has Baby Girl
She won’t be the mother of twins like her former onscreen character but Friends’ star Courtney Cox Arquette and husband, David, welcomed their first child into the world on Sunday morning, a baby girl the couple named Coco, the Associated Press reported.
A spokesperson for the couple said that both mother and baby were doing fine.
The actress, who turns 40 on Tuesday, gave birth about a week before her scheduled delivery date, according to People magazine.
The acting duo who married in June of 1999 had struggled to have a child after Cox Arquette suffered several miscarriages and they decided to conceive by in vitro fertilization.
Cox Arquette’s TV character, Monica, on the hugely successful Friends show also had difficulties conceiving a child with onscreen husband, Chandler, played by Matthew Perry, and in the show’s final episode, the couple was surprised to learn that the “child” they had adopted was actually twins.
