To the millions of fans still speculating about Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez: The answers lie in the words of a song on his latest album, “Amar Sin Mentiras” (”Love Without Lies”), that was released June 8.

The song is a duet with ? who else? ? Jennifer Lopez, and is called “Escap?monos” or “Let’s Escape.”

At Anthony’s Wednesday, June 9 performance (just four days after his reported wedding to Lopez) for a future taping of CBS’ The Early Show Big Summer Concert Series, Anthony, wearing sunglasses, a leather jacket, a white tee and khakis, responded to questions about what he did last weekend by saying, “It was an amazing weekend because I got to spend it with my family, that is all I am going to say.”

Anthony, who patiently and politely answered all of the reporter’s questions, went on to say that the duet with Lopez, which is a beautiful, romantic ballad about escaping into a lover’s arms, is about “two people who just want the world to leave them alone.” Anthony stressed the words “leave them alone,” which drew cheers from the crowd, as did an earlier statement about him being “too happy” at this point in his life.

The lyrics from the love song definitely reveal an intense love between two people and some of the more telling lines from the Spanish song say, “If the love is there, there is no need to wait?” and let’s escape “so that we are alone, my love, in a day that never ends, with no worries about what the others might say.”

Anthony’s performance for The Early Show’s Big Summer Concert Series is scheduled to air on Wednesday, June 30.
