Harry Potter Earns 92 Million at Weekend Box Office

“Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” continue the series’ reign at the box office, earning $92.7 at North American box offices this weekend.
That surpasses the $90.3 million opening for “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in 2001 and $88.4 million for “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” in 2002.
Shrek earned $37 million to slip to Number 2, and “The Day After Tomorrow” rounded out the top 3 with $28.2 million.
