R&B Legend John Whitehead Shot Dead

John Whitehead, the legendary R&B singer, was shot dead Tuesday by two gunmen, police said, according to the Associated Press. He was 55.
Whitehead and another man were working on a vehicle when they were shot. The gunmen fled the scene and police have no suspects.
The other man, Ohmed Johnson, is in good condition.
Whitehead was best known for his 1979 hit “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now.”
