Michael Jackson has been forced to replace his two attorneys, Mark Geragos and Benjamin Brafman, in his child molestation case. He has hired Thomas Mesereau Jr., Robert Blake’s former attorney.

“Based on recent developments and discussions with various persons in the Jackson camp, it became clear that it would be best if Mark and I decided to step down,” Brafman told the AP. “And that’s what we elected to do.”

He would not divulge the reasons why they left Jackson.
