The final night of Canadian Music Week was owned by Nardwuar the Human Serviette. The zany Vancouver-based MuchMusic interviewer and his band The Evaporators closed CMW with a 1 a.m. show at the legendary Horseshoe.

It was definitely a night to be remembered for the packed crowd, who witnessed the single most electrifying move an “artist” could pull off. Nardwuar threw his electric keyboard into the crowd and instructed a few people to hold it high above their heads. Then he threw himself into the crowd and body surfed. What came next was Nardwuar, with the biggest smile one can possess, playing the keyboard while body surfing. What can beat that?

Nardwuar also brought out Canadian metal powerhouse Gwar for a few songs. Gwar came out in his full villainous outfit, bending the microphone stand over Nardwuar’s head, and then blowing up an exercise water bottle until it almost exploded.

Nobody could have ended CMW quite like Nardwuar.
