Beyonce’s 17-Year-Old Sister Solange Gets Married

Somebody from the Knowles family was married over the weekend, and it wasn’t Beyonce and boyfriend Jay-Z.

Solange Knowles, Beyonce’s 17-year-old sister, married Daniel Smith, a college football player, according to her record label Columbia.
“I am excited about this new phase in my life,” Solange said Monday in a statement. “I am very happy and feel truly blessed to have the unconditional love and support of my parents and my entire family.”
Beyonce, her parents, Mathew and Tina Knowles, and Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child were in attendance at the ceremony in the Bahamas.
Both Knowles and Smith are from Houston.
