Big Boi and Andre 3000 will star in ?Speakerboxx,? a film for HBO. The movie will begin shooting in May.

“It’s a 1930s period piece and musical,” the film’s writer and director Bryan Barber says to Rolling Stone. “A lot of the music inspired the scenes and the scenes inspired other music.” Barber also shot the music videos for ?Hey Ya? and ?The Way You Move.?

Outkast will write the music for the soundtrack, which will be released as their next album. Big Boi tells Rolling Stone that the music will be funk. ?As long as it’s funky and the vibes keep coming we’re going to keep grinding it.”
