“MacGyver to Gilmour…scores!”

Stars from Alias, MacGyver, Full House and Beverly Hills will lace up their skates with some NHL legends this weekend in Hamilton and Toronto.

Unlike some fundraising events where very little money ends up going to charity, 70 percent of the ticket proceeds from the “Hollywood All-Star Celebrity Hockey” games will go donated. The goal is to raise $600,000, which would be donated to St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Shoot for a Cure, Sunshine Dream for Kids, and the Anemia Institute Foundation.

Scheduled participants include: Dave Coulier (Joey from Full House), Alan Thicke (Growing Pains), Richard D. Anderson (MacGyver), Jason Priestly (Beverly Hills 90210), Michael Vartan (Alias), Elvis Stojko, and Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy. Hockey players include: Doug Gilmour, Johnny Bower, Rick Vaive, Dave Keon, and Kirk Muller.

The game in Hamilton will be held at the Copps Coliseum on Saturday, February 7. On February 8, the game will be held at Toronto’s Ricoh Coliseum. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. Organizers hope to take the game to other locations, including Vancouver, next year.
