Some of the biggest acts in Canadian music will perform at the Juno Awards on April 4 in Edmonton.

Barenaked Ladies, Michael Buble, Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, Sarah McLachlan and Nickelback were announced as performers on Sunday, forming one of the strongest lineups in Juno history.

No host has been announced, and the nominees are expected to be announced in February. More performers will be announced at a later date.

The majority of the performers have recently released albums, except Lavigne. She is working on a new album, and it is anyone’s guess what she decides to perform.
