Rakim was injured in a car accident Wednesday in Connecticut, according to MTV.

The rapper hit his head on the windshield and bumped his knee while traveling to New York, an attorney for Rakim told MTV, He said Rakim was coherent and talking and did not appear to be hurt seriously.

He was treated at a hospital.
