Oasis Fire Drummer
Alan White is no longer the drummer for Oasis.
The UK band released a statement last week, saying that White was “asked to leave Oasis by the other band members. There are no plans to replace Alan.”
NME reports that Noel Gallagher has been drumming on some early demos, in preparation for Oasis’ upcoming album, which they are currently recording.
“The band’s scheduled recording sessions remain unaffected,” said the statement.
One rumoured replacement for White is his brother, Steve White. Steve filled in for his brother in 2001.
However, those rumours did not last long.
“Have I been asked to replace him in the band? CATEGORICALLY NO,” he said on his web site. “Would I replace him? CATEGORICALLY NO.”
