Hoping to snag some tickets to a Late Night With Conan O’Brien taping in Toronto? Better hope you get lucky in the lottery.

On December 30, O’Brien announced on his late night talk show that fans can e-mail conanintoronto@nbc.com to apply for tickets.

The demand for tickets to the four shows, which are being taped in February, has been overwhelming.

“Eager Conan fans have been e-mailing and phoning us for weeks,” said Peter Soumalias, the Conan in Toronto organizer. “The demand for tickets in Canada and the U.S.A has already exceeded tickets available for the Toronto tapings, so tickets will be allocated via a lottery process.”

The shows will be taped at the Elgin Theatre, which can seat about 1000 people a show, compared to the less than 200 people who can attend a taping in New York.

Details on guests are being released later this month.

E-mail: conanintoronto@nbc.com and provide name, address, telephone and e-mail details.

A maximum of two tickets are available per person. Tickets will be randomly selected and distributed through NBC via an e-mail lottery system. Individuals who have been selected to receive tickets will be contacted by NBC one month to one week prior to show tapings.
