Apple Surpasses 30 million Song Purchases on iTunes
At Apple’s annual Macworld Trade Show, CEO Steve Jobs announced that the iTunes music store has now sold over 30 million songs and is maintaining a whopping70% market share. In addition, the store sold 50 000 audio books and 100 000 gift certificates since being announced in October.
Apple also announced 3 new features which include:
- Billboard Charts Hot 100 from 1946-2004
- 12 000 Classical Tracks
- 500 000 songs available today – the largest catalog available
Steve also mentioned that the iTunes stores biggest spender spent $29 500.
