CD Review: Jay-Z – The Black Album
Pop
Posted on December 27th, 2003 by Adam Gonshor
No more albums by Jay-Z? Yeah right. But if “The Black Album” really is his swan song, what a way to go out. It’s full of songs that are instantly recognizable as Jay-Z songs, as only the ninth wonder can do them.
All signs point to this being his last album. His mother appears on “December 4th,” and he also raps about his father.
Producers on the album include: Eminem, Timbaland, Neptunes and Kanye West.
4.5*
