Canadian Idol auditions will be held in nine cities, as will be announced on World Idol Thursday night. The cities are (from West to East): Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax and St. John’s.

The auditions will be held in Regina and Saskatchewan for the first time.

Auditions will be spread out from February through April 2004, while the second season of the show will debut on CTV in the summer.

Canadians aged 16 to 26 inclusive are eligible to try out.

Information pertaining to dates and locations will be announced in January.
