Officials have issued an arrest warrant for Michael Jackson on multiple counts of child molestation, after searching his Neverland Ranch yesterday.

They have asked Jackson to turn himself in and surrender his passport.

“I am sad that there is another victim out there. I feel bad for the family. I feel bad for the victim. Beyond that, I feel it is a sad thing for all those involved,” District Attorney Thomas W. Sneddon Jr. said at a news conference.

Jackson was last spotted on Tuesday in Las Vegas with his three children. Sneddon said Jackson was in communication with legal authorities to turn himself in.

Brian Oxman, an attorney who has represented the Jackson family, told CBS that the case involves allegations from a 12-year-old boy. Oxman is not representing Jackson in this case. Sneddon did not divulge his age.

Bail is set at $3 million.

A spokesperson for Jackson says the allegations “are false.”

“Michael would never harm a child in any way. These scurrilous and totally unfounded allegations will be proven false in a courtroom. Naturally, the implications are distressing to everyone who hears them, which is precisely the point,” said the spokesperson, Stuart Backerman.

“Michael through his attorneys, led by Mark Geragos, has already made arrangements with the District Attorney to return to Santa Barbara to immediately confront and prove these charges unfounded,” Backerman said.

CBS was supposed to air a Jackson special next week, but decided for it to be pulled.

“Given the gravity of the charges against Mr. Jackson, we believe it would be inappropriate at this time to broadcast an entertainment special,” the network said.
