Ja Rules Records with Idol’s Studdard

Ruben Studdard’s debut album will feature a song called “What Is Sexy,” featuring Ja Rule.

“I actually didn’t get a chance to meet Ja. I think he did the track before in New York while I was in L.A. working on some ‘American Idol’ stuff,” Studdard told MTV. “But I got with Irv [Gotti] in L.A. and did the song and we had a ball, man, we cracked on each other all day.”

Details for the album are still coming together, but “Soulful,” due out December 9, could also feature two songs written by R. Kelly and a collaboration with Fat Joe.
