On ABC’s televised red carpet special prior to the American Music Awards, Monica interviewed Weird Al and thanked him for not parodying any of her songs.

“But you haven’t made it until you get parodied,” Al replied.

Monica didn’t get upset but she probably didn’t even realize he unintentionally (or maybe not) made fun of her.
