The reviews could not be better for “The Soul Sessions,” the debut album by Joss Stone. What surprises most people about Stone is that the UK-born singer, who sounds like she is a seasoned soul veteran, is just 16-years-old.

Stone released “The Soul Sessions,” an album featuring covers by such artists as Aretha Franklin, the Isley Brothers, and the White Stripes, but plans to release an album with her own material early in 2004.

andPOP sat down with Joss Stone in Toronto to discuss the album, working with the Roots and Angie Stone, why she goes barefoot on stage, and more.
