Guitarist Ben Moody Leaves Evanescence
Ben Moody has left Evanescence, the band he co-founded with Amy Lee, according to MTV.
Moody, who wrote the songs and played guitar for their debut album, “packed up his gear in a huff” and left on October 24, according to the music station. He flew back to the U.S., said the band’s manager.
The split was not amicable.
Singer Amy Lee told Rock Sound, ” You don’t do that to your band. You wouldn’t do that to your friends or your family. You don’t do that to anyone.”
Whether or not he comes back is unclear, said their manager. They have continued their tour with second guitarist John LeCompt handling all six-string duties.
