More Performers Announced for AMAs: andPOP Gives Preview
Pink, Evanescence, Sean Paul, 3 Doors Down and Rod Stewart will perform at the 2003 American Music Awards, set to air November 16 on ABC.
Outkast, Britney Spears, Hilary Duff and Clay Aiken were previously announced performers.
Listen, that’s all the news there is right now on the AMAs, but andPOP is taking it one step further and predicting what you will see from the performances.
Outkast: No doubt this will be the performance of the night, unless something goes wrong. Their double-CD is a top-seller with good reason – the material is great. This will probably be a medley of Andre 3000 and Big Boi’s singles.
Britney Spears: Lip-syncing and stripping. If you like live music, you’ll be upset. If you like live skin, you’ll enjoy.
Hilary Duff: Some say she is the Britney for the early teens. Since this is one of her first live performances on TV, this will probably be a lip-syncing effort by the actress, but maybe she’ll surprise us and actually sing.
Clay Aiken: Look for this Idol runner-up to be singing “Invisible” off his debut album.
Pink: Perhaps this pop-rocker will be almost as naked as Britney, but she’ll somehow do it in a more respectful manner.
Evanescence: They’ll probably be doing the new single, but it doesn’t compare to “Bring Me to Life.” Here’s hoping they stick to what made them famous.
Sean Paul: Maybe a medley of his club-bangers.
3 Doors Down: Who really cares?
Rod Stewart: See comment for 3 Doors Down.
