Legendary folk-rock duo the Everly Brothers will join Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel on their “Old Friends” tour.
“Art and I learned to sing as a duo by listening to Everly Brothers records and practicing their harmonies. We’re both great fans of their singing and guitar playing,” Simon said in a statement.
Don and Phil Everly joined Simon and Garfunkel at the tour opener on Thursday as surprise guests, but will remain on the tour until it wraps up in December.
“When it comes to the magnificent sound of Don and Phil, I’m just a wannabe,” said Garfunkel.
