Wyclef Jean checked himself into a Miami hospital Wednesday and is being treated for dehydration and exhaustion.

Jean, who turns 31 on Friday, got food poisoning the day before, according to his label. He is expected to remain under care throughout the weekend, MTV reports.

Clef’s fourth solo album, “The Preacher’s Son,” is due out November 4.
