The American Wedding Soundtrack is like listening to the radio. It features some of the most-overplayed songs of the summer. However that doesn?t necessarily mean they’re bad songs.

Take “Times Likes These” by the Foo Fighters for example. It’s been overplayed on rock and hit-music stations, but it still is a high-quality song. “Swing Swing” by the All American Rejects is another example of overplayed but quality music.

Then there is the overplayed but not-so-good music. “The Hell Song” by Sum 41 and “Give Up the Grudge” by Gob fits this description. Sure, they’re catchy, but being overplayed killed them.

“Calling You” by Blue October is worth a listen, but the CD does not have a lot of good selling points. That is, unless you want to remember the annoying sounds of rock radio this summer.
