The final eight Canadian Idol finalists were treated by the show to free tickets to Mariah Carey’s concert in Toronto last night, and they also got the chance to meet the diva.

Footage of Carey and the finalists will air on Canadian Idol Tuesday night at 7:30 on CTV. Monday night, legendary Motown group The Temptations will perform.

In other Canadian Idol news, it was just announced that a special called “The Best and Worst of Canadian Idol” will air Thursday, August 28, in addition to that week’s performance and results show.

Idol is the number one program in Canada this summer.
