The soundtrack for the “Freaky Friday” movie is another great compilation to hit stores this summer. It also has material on it that all sorts of music fans will enjoy.

For the punk lover, there is a remake of “Happy Together,” performed by Simple Plan. It’s not the best rendition of the song but since the original by The Turtles is such a classic, it’s tough to outdo them. Another, more interesting remake, is Bowling for Soup’s take on Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time.” They deserve credit for taking such a risky move, and they pull it off, taking all it’s pop-value away.

For the party rocker, who better than Andrew WK? “She is Beautiful” is the perfect song to keep them happy and partied up.

Pop music fans have a few songs to listen to: Lindsay Lohan’s “Ultimate,” Lillix’s “What I Like About You,” and Ashlee Simpson’s “Just Let Me Cry.”

If you’re into hip-hop, then it’s best to get the Bad Boys II Soundtrack because there’s nothing hip-hop about the album, or movie for that matter. For everyone else, it’s worth a listen.
