Twisted Method’s debut album, “Escape from Cape Coma,” is not the most original sounding nu-metal album available, but it’s hard to find original sound these days anyway.

The Florida-based quartet relies on the strong vocals of Derrick Tribbett who tries his hardest to get express the emotions on each song. His wrath is definitely felt on songs like “Inside Out” and “Panic.”

While most songs are drowned out by his yelling and constant swearing, there is a track that sticks out. “Shine” is a Linkin Park style rock-rap song, and while it still has Tribbett’s almost signature yells, its message of overcoming obstacles offers something fresh on the album.

The band is on currently on the Ozzfest tour.
