Just as she did with her last album, Michelle Branch emphasises her singing and songwriting skills with “Hotel Paper.” The album is more on the rock side, and has an acoustic feel to the majority of the songs. There’s little that stands out, and Sheryl Crow’s talents are wasted on a mediocre “Love Me Like That.” The only thing that really stands out and doesn’t blend in with the rest is the single, “Are You Happy Now?”
