Because of military duties, Joshua Gracin, who made it into the final 4 of American Idol, will not join his fellow finalists on tour this summer.

“Lance Cpl. Joshua M. Gracin will not be participating in the American Idol tour as he was unable to complete his required training in the allotted time,” Major Curtis L. Hill of the United States Marines said in a press release.

As it stands now, nine Idol finalists (Clay Aiken, Kimberly Caldwell, Julia Demato, Charles Grigsby, Kimberley Locke, Carmen Rasmusen, Rickey Smith, Ruben Studdard and Trenyce) will perform.
