CD Review: Charlie’s Angel Soundtrack
The Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle Soundtrack takes listeners back to what would be spinning when the original television show aired, as well as some new tracks from some of today’s hottest artists.
Pink’s “Feel Good Time” grows on the listener. It’s not like most of the material she puts out, but is just what the soundtrack needs, a song that will stick in your head but won’t drive you nuts.
Nickelback and Kid Rock’s remake of Elton John’s “Saturda Night’s Alright” was certainly a gamble to record, as it is not the type of music either artists is used to performing. They somehow make it work, and make it rock.
Nas with Pharrell of the Neptunes offering of “Nas’ Angels? The Flyest” is not the best work the Neptunes has ever done, but it adds an urban-feel to the album that is missing. MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This” just is not enough.
Other artists on the album include Bon Jovi, Donna Summer, and the Beach Boys.
