CD Review: Black Eyed Peas – Elephunk
Black Eyed Peas prove they’re worthy of the coveted opening slot of Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera’s tour with their new album, “Elephunk.” The album, which is three years in the making, features the Peas performing tracks that will light up the clubs all summer.
One such song is “Let’s Get Retarded.” While the name will cause some politically-correct arguments, the song is not intended to make fun of individuals with special needs. Retarded is used as a synonym for “crazy.”
Their single “Where is the Love” with Justin Timberlake shows their down-to-earth side, but also shows their vocal abilities go farther than just belting out potential club anthems.
The addition of Fergie to the group was an integral move, as she brings her dominant voice.
