CD Review: Beyonce Knowles – Dangerously In Love
If there was any doubt Beyonce Knowles couldn’t succeed as a solo artist, and not too many people thought this way, the release of “Dangerously in Love” eliminates all speculation. The album has a clear goal: make hits. From the first song until the last, the production choices and vocals of Knowles make almost every song a potential single.
Jumping on the Sean Paul bandwagon, Knowles enlisted the help of the reggae artist on “Baby Boy.” Also making guest spots on the album are Luther Vandross, Big Boi, Missy Elliott, and of course Jay-Z, who Knowles is reportedly dating.
She attempts to show off her solo abilities with a very slow “Dangerously in Love 2.” The song is boring and needs Kelly and Michelle of Destiny’s Child to make it work better.
