Mariah Carey says the move of her upcoming tour from arenas to theaters was to get more intimate with her fans, and not because of slow ticket sales. We don’t believe her.

“It’s much more intimate so you’ll feel like you had an experience,” Carey told MTV. “You experience a night with me.” What?

Carey’s 20-city North American tour begins July 26 in Las Vegas and wraps up in Manchester, NH on September 23.
