What could have been a diva fit was avoided in New York recently, but it could have got ugly.

Whitney Houston approached 50 Cent at an airport after the MTV Movie Awards about two weeks ago.

“I heard a woman say ‘Hi’ to me,” 50 Cent told The Sun. “Then she asked, ‘You’re not going to speak?’ I said, ‘What more do you want from me?’”

When she turned around, 50 was shocked.

“It was Whitney Houston. Oh man! Why of all people was I rude to her? I apologised.”

50 is on tour with Jay-Z.
