Ruben Studdard, the winner of this year’s American Idol, has collaborated on a song with rapper Fat Joe.

They recorded the track last week in New York’s Quad Recording Studios. “Can I Get Your Attention?,” which is produced by Harold Lilly, is set to appear on Studdard’s debut album.

“Ruben is a gentle giant, and my son loves his work, so that gives me good points with him,” Fat Joe told MTV. “The song is a hot summer banger that will introduce Ruben to the world not as an ‘American Idol,’ but as a professional.”

The untitled album is due out August 19 on J Records.
