ARCHOS Releases First Ever Handheld Video Recorder/Player
Archos has released the first ever handheld video recorder/player. The Video AV300 Series is the first true personal video player to record and play back movies using MP3 audio.
The unit features a 3.8 inch LCD screen and the ability to record from any video source (ie. TV, VCR). Users can also transfer MPEG-4 video files from their computer. Video can then be played back on the units LCD screen or through a connected TV/PC.
With the AV300 40 gigabyte hard drive, you can hold up to 80 hours of video with mp3 audio, allowing anyone to watch full length movies, tv shows, music videos or home videos. In addition, the AV300 can hold a mix of 400 000 digital photos, 2 000 hours of mp3 music, and 4 000 hours of voice recording (through its built-in microphone).
The Av300 also includes a way to attach add-ons to it. These include a 3.3 megapixel digital camcorder with zoom lens, FM Radio with remote, and memory input cards. The AV300 includes a USB 2.0 interface or optional firewire connection. Batteries are included with the unit.
