The Mars Volta will not be playing on the second leg of the Red Hot Chili Peppers tour, dropping out because of the death of their sound manipulator, Jeremy Ward.
Ward died last week from a suspected drug overdose, MTV reports.
The band still plans on performing on a headlining tour in July.
