If 2 Fast 2 Furious is half as good as the soundtrack, movie goers will be pleased. The blazing new album features some of the rising artists in the hip-hop world and some established veterans.
The album includes a new track from Ludacris, who also has a roll in the film, “Act a Fool,” a sure hit. He also performs with Tyrese, another star of the sequel, and R. Kelly on “Pick Up the Phone.”
Watch out for K’Jon, whose song “Miami” is a definite highlight. Other new artists include Jin, Joe Budden, and Canadian recording artist Kardinal Offishall, on the verge of breaking into the U.S.
And Canada gets a little something extra. Saukrates’ ” ,” which is on high rotation on Canadian urban radio, is included on the CD as a bonus track.
