Boe Skagz, the nephew of the late Jam Master Jay, was shot in the leg on Wednesday in Queens, New York, according to reports.

Skagz, a member of the Rusty Waters rap group, told police that a male teenager shot three bullets at him, one hitting him in the calf, but did not recognize the boy.

He was released from hospital Thursday.

Jam Master Jay was shot and killed in a Queens recording studio in October. He was working on tracks for Rusty Waters’ album, which was shelved by Virgin. Skagz had left the studio when the shooting occurred.
