Nigle Godrich will not be working on the new Strokes album, according to Billboard. The band was in a trial session with Godrich.
“All parties involved had a lovely experience and Nigel and the band really did get on famously,” the band’s manager, Ryan Gentles, told Billboard. “It just wasn’t meant to be in the studio, I suppose.”
Godrich has worked with Radiohead, Beck, and Travis.
The Strokes will return to the studio later in May with Gordon Raphael, who worked on their first album.
