R&B singer Usher is working on a new album, which is scheduled for release near the end of the year.

Producer Jermaine Dupri, also an executive at Arista, started working on Usher’s album last week.

“It?s the same [procedure],” he tells MTV, talking about the recording process Usher is taking. “It’s nothing never different. We been through the sophomore jinx ? there is no sophomore jinx. We just making records. We know his mode.”

Dupri says he is producing most of the album, and they will also be working with Pharrell of the Neptunes.

“Same thing as always. If it ain’t broke, don?t fix it.”
