Korn, Limp Bizkit, Sum 41, and Avril Lavigne will perform during a tribute to Metallica.

MTV will honour the rock band as part of their ?mtvICON? series.

The show is set to air on May 6, and will see a performance by Metallica. The artists saluting them will perform covers of Metallica songs.

Aerosmith and Janet Jackson have previously been the focus of ?mtvICON? shows.
