DMX Retiring from Hip Hop
If you’re having trouble deciding whether or not you want to spend your money on a ticket to an upcoming DMX show, this might make up your mind for you. The rapper says he’s going to retire as a rapper after he releases his fifth album, so you might never come to your town again.
“That’s the truth. It’s my last album,” DMX tells MTV.
He says he will continue running Bloodline Records and acting. He will be spending much of his down time praying.
“I wanna take some time off ? you know, read my Bible and just get more into the word. I got kids, and one of my children is at that stage where you have to be around. He’s 8 months, and I don’t wanna be a stranger to my children. That’s more important to me than all this.”
His upcoming album, “It’s Not a Game,” will feature a collaboration with 50 Cent.
